Give Good Deeds, LLC ("GGD," "us," "our," and "we") values your privacy and wants to be accountable and transparent with you in the way that we collect and use your personal information. We also want you to know your rights in relation to your information.
Types of Information We Collect
In the course of operating the Digital Properties and providing the Services, we may collect and/or receive the following types of information.
Account Information. We collect contact and other identifying information such as your name, email address, phone number, zip code, username and password, demographic information such as your age, income range and preferred pronouns, and any information you may provide in communications with us ("Account Information").
Server Log Information. Our servers keep log files that record data each time a device accesses those servers. The log files contain data about the nature of such access, including the device’s IP address, user agent string (e.g., operating system and browser type/version), and the pages you’ve clicked on while on our Digital Properties, and details regarding your activity on the Digital Properties such as time spent on the Digital Properties and other performance and usage data. We may use these log files for purposes such as assisting in monitoring and troubleshooting errors and incidents, analyzing traffic, or optimizing the user experience.
Search Information. We collect the terms, keywords or items you search for when using the Services through any of the Digital Properties.
Purchase Information. We collect and/or receive information about your purchases such as the Brand products and services ("products"), product quantities, date and time of purchase, total spend, and the Merchant from whom you purchased the Brand product.
Transaction Information. We collect information about how you interact with the Digital Properties and Services, such as the offers you view and redeem, other products you purchase, the Brands and Merchants you frequent; how you interact with the Brands, Affiliate Networks, our business partners and service providers; and other information about how you use our Services and Digital Properties.
How We Use Your Information
We may use the information collected from and about you, including Personal Information, for the following purposes:
- Manage, operate, enhance and support the Digital Properties and the Services;
- Analyze use of the Digital Properties and the Services;
- Evaluate the types of offers, products, or services that may be of interest to you and provide you with offers from our participating Brands that are more relevant to you, including offers based on variables such as stated and anticipated user interests, personal characteristics, consumption of advertisements, past searches or purchases; and past offer redemptions;
- Communicate and provide additional information which may be of interest to you about us, our Brands and business partners, such as news, special offers, announcements, and marketing materials;
- Send you reminders, technical notices, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages or service bulletins;
- Administer surveys, sweepstakes, contests, or other promotional activities or events sponsored by us, our Brands, or our business partners;
- Manage our everyday business needs such as security and administration of the Digital Properties and the Services;
Prevent, detect and investigate any activities that are potentially prohibited, malicious, fraudulent, unlawful or contrary to good practice on our Digital Properties or through the Services; Enable us to receive and manage products and services we may purchase from you;
- Associate or combine your personal information with other information we have such as information collected via cookies and other technologies; Track and verify purchases you have made through the Digital Properties to provide you Cash Back;
- Anonymize, aggregate and/or de-identify personal information ("Aggregated Data"), then use and/or disclose such Aggregated Data for any purpose including our or third parties’ analytics, marketing, advertising, and data enrichment activities. Carry out other purposes described to you when collecting your personal information to which you consent, or as otherwise permissible under applicable law.
When and Why We Share Information
Service Providers. We may share your information with certain third parties engaged to provide business related services, but only to the extent needed to enable them to provide such services. The types of companies that may receive personal information, and their functions, consist of the following: data storage and hosting services; technical assistance; database management; use analytics; technology development; email marketing platforms, advertisers, remarketers, and retargeting companies, and customer service organizations.
Brands. As part of our Services, we share Aggregated Data with the Brands (and at their direction, with their service providers) regarding Donors and other purchasers of Brand products, Nonprofits, and Visitors to the Digital Properties.
Nonprofits. When registering with the Services, Donors may choose to share their Account Information with the Nonprofits they select for donations, or donate anonymously. We will not share Account Information of anonymous Donors with their selected Nonprofits.
Affiliated Companies. We may also disclose personal information to our parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, joint ventures, or other companies under common control in order to support the Digital Properties, the Services and associated activities and services.
As Required by Law, to Enforce Laws and Similar Disclosures. We may also disclose personal information to defend ourselves in litigation or a regulatory action; when required or advised to do so by law, such as in response to a subpoena, or similar legal process, including to law enforcement agencies, regulators, and courts in the United States and other countries where we operate; to enforce our rights or protect our property; to protect the rights, property or safety of others, investigate fraud, respond to a government request; or as needed to support auditing, compliance, and corporate governance functions.
Aggregated Data. We may also disclose Aggregated Data. For example, we may provide our Brands, Nonprofits, Affiliate Networks, business partners, or other third parties with reports that contain Aggregated Data.
You may opt out of the use of your personal information for direct marketing purposes by emailing your instructions to email@example.com or by clicking the "unsubscribe" link located on the bottom of any GGD marketing email and following the instructions found on the page to which the link takes you. Please allow us a reasonable time to process your request. You are not permitted to unsubscribe from Service-related emails and communications.
Security of Personal Information.
We use reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, and destruction. Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee, ensure or warrant the security of our databases or the databases of third parties with whom we may share your information (as permitted herein), or of any information provided to us, or processed on the Digital Properties or through the Services.
California Privacy Rights
Pursuant to Section 1798.83 of the California Civil Code, residents of California have the right to obtain certain information about the types of personal information that companies with whom they have an established business relationship (and that are not otherwise exempt) have shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year, including the names and addresses of those third parties, and examples of the types of services or products marketed by those third parties. Do Not Track
GGD does not respond to "Do Not Track" settings or other related mechanisms at this time.
Nevada Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of Nevada, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of certain personal information to third parties who intend to license or sell that personal information. You can exercise this right by contacting us at email@example.com with the subject line "Nevada Do Not Sell Request" and providing us with your name and the email address associated with your account. Please note that we do not currently sell your personal information as sales are defined in Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A.
Our Commitment to Children's Privacy
Our servers are located in the US and elsewhere. Please be aware that your information may be transferred to, processed, maintained, and used on computers, servers, and systems located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your country of residence. If you are located outside the United States and choose to use the Site or Services, you do so at your own risk.
